Wild flowers

These flowers were picked out in front of our building, from a small plot that the dogs (and the kids) take care of business. The day lilies I added because the curtain competed too much with the central flowers. The orange brought the purple forward so that your eye can focus on the flowers and not jump back and forth.

Fruit bowl

In the apartment is this great side table, very heavy Spanish mission style, that I've really wanted to put into a piece and we had a couple of cold windy days so I decided to do something inside and utilize the table.
The tiles at the bottom is my little tribute to Dutch painters. Read 'The girl with the pearl earring'.

The Retiro park in Madrid has amazing kids playgrounds, too many to count. Some of them have some of the best playground equipment I've ever seen. (giroscopic things that you climb inside and spin to your heart and stomach's content).
